Hi, What a rollercoaster of a year we have all had, but we hope you are all looking forward with a positive attitude to the government changes which are ahead of us, these will allow us all to start getting back to some normality. In this email we’d like to advise you of all the things we have got happening, and hopefully our plans will help keep you smiling and allow you to set some challenges for yourself. The Blue Lagooners Open Water Swimming – Members only We have been attending the Lagoon and having a big clear out and prepping for the re-opening of the lake. We are not sure when yet, as this will be as we are dictated by the water temperature. It must hold 12° overnight before we re-open, this is at the request of our insurers and in our experience, a good starting temperature for the safety of our swimmers. Our last reading on Tuesday was 9.6° - can we all cross our fingers for warmer temperatures and the sun! The water is currently looking great and very inviting with lots of new wildlife around the lake, which we must respect on visiting the lake at all times. We will be doing regular updates on the Facebook page regards to the temperature and how we are going to be operating in 2021 at the lake. Blue Lagooners Facebook Page Tadcaster Swimming sessions The Tadcaster Community Swimming Pool is re-opening to the public week commencing 12th April, which means for those who have pre-booked the swim sessions with us we will be starting that week. An email has already been sent out advising dates etc. We have rented the full pool for several sessions per week which allows us to coach you alongside like-minded people of similar ability. A swim set will be placed at the end of the lanes for you all to follow. We will be poolside to coach you once we are allowed, but in the meantime, we will be observing from various spots around the pool to offer advice after the session. We do have some availability on our Thursday afternoon session, and Saturday afternoon – please contact us if you require any further information.
